My inspirations for this piece were rocky patches in nature and in life. When sought, nature shows us how to fill the cracks, the breaks, the tears, the emptiness with beauty. How to build connection and new growth, strength and beauty, amid fractures and open spaces.
Direct method mosaic using thinset. Tesserae included rocks, smalti, and broken pottery.
