This work was inspired by the month of March in New England and its palette of cold; white snow, occasional bits of blue sky, silver ice, gray days, black shadows, stone and quiet. The surface texture of this mosaic suggests the only variety in the seemingly endless monotony of cold and gray at the close of Winter.
